Android 7.0 Nougat

The new version of the operating system for Google’s mobile devices is Android 7.0 Nougat, an Anglo-Saxon term that gives a name to what in Spain we know as “tough nougat.”

This edition will bring many improvements and innovations that, more than a change in interface or performance, are focused on the incorporation of new features, as well as greater support for the topic of the moment: virtual reality.

Among these improvements, you will find a native multi-entry, which will allow you to run two applications simultaneously on the same screen and resize them by sliding the dividing bar. You can also drag the contents of one app to the other.

Regarding notifications, with Android Nougat can be grouped to have a better organization when you have many alerts in the same application. By holding down the notification, you can give it visibility or make it not show. In addition, they will bring a new design.

If we talk about the configurations, they will now come with much more information at a first glance to avoid getting into the menu. There will also be, in the upper left, a menu to open the main settings of the settings. That way we will not have to abandon the option in which we find ourselves. In addition, it will offer you suggestions on the same.

The Android Nougat quick notifications panel will be minimized so you can enable or disable each of them from there. It also gives you the ability to slide once to open them.

For its part, the Apps button will be more functional and Instant Apps will allow you to access or install applications without having to download them.

Android Nougat also allows you to save data by blocking the use of data from apps in the background and you can decide which applications you want to work normally.

In this Android version, 7.0 will integrate a virtual reality mode that will optimize the smartphone when used with a VR device but will only be available for terminals compatible with Daydream. There will also be improvements in battery life, thanks to the Doze function, as well as improvements in language compatibility.

Moreover, one of the most prominent features of Android Nougat will be the Smart Restart. This will allow you to register some apps so that, in case of an unexpected restart, these can continue to work. For example, the alarm or calls.

In addition, the installation of apps and updates will be done faster. Finally, a new menu will be integrated under the configuration of users to record emergency information, in case of an accident.
