Procedure for Nexus and Pixel devices

  • We connect the device to our computer by using the USB cable.
  • Download the image to unzip it where we can access quickly.
  • Now place the Fasboot files in the folder.
  • Then we access the bootloader of the device (Vol-, Power).
  • Once there we connect the device to our computer.
  • Now we run the file “flash-all.bat” in case of using Windows, but if it is Linux it is “flash-all.sh”.
  • When doing this action we will have to wait for the procedure to finish, once finished we will have installed Android Oreo in our device.

For devices on Google

Once the first custom ROMs for non-Google devices are available, the installation procedure is completely the same as we have seen all these years.

Our device must have root access, advanced recovery and USB debugging enabled.

  • Download the ROM.
  • Enter Recovery Mode.
  • We do the Wipes (cache, System, Data, Dalvik).
  • You install the ROM.
  • You install the Gapps (Android Oreo).
  • We restart.
